Miller, Charles John

Charles John Miller, 86, of North Richland Hills, Texas passed away on February 9, 2023. He was born on March 16, 1936, in Houston, Texas to Edgar and Mary Glover Miller.

Charles was a very creative artist. He spent many years working in various Art Galleries framing pictures, restoring oil paintings, and creating beautiful pieces. He loved his work so much; he was in his eighties before he reluctantly retired.

Marrying late in life, he enjoyed the role of a doting husband to his beloved wife, Jenetha Nash Miller. They married on November 4th, 2006, and recently celebrated their sixteenth-year anniversary.

Loving son, brother, uncle, and husband, Charles Miller, shared his heart, life, talents, and love generously with family and friends. Committed to loved ones, he was always there when his sisters or his brother needed him, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Although he never had children of his own, he was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews to fill the void and was indeed a precious uncle that will be missed dearly.

Giving his heart to Jesus at an early age, he was a devout member of the Pentecostal church for most of his life and was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Euless, TX. He is survived by his beloved wife Jenetha Miller, and his dear twin sister Charlene McEntire. Morell-Hickey, Gina Lynn

(May 30, 1968 – January 1 2014)

A magical girl was born May 30, 1968. She died January 1, 2014 at home with her family, friends and pets surrounded with love. She was a warrior fighting colon cancer with all her might for 5 years.

Independent. frugal, could talk to anyone, valued and was loyal to her BFF’s. Loved to talk and could with anyone, but hated to answer her phone. She was usually late, especially to chemo. Gina hated being sick and refused to act it, she put on her makeup, pretty clothes, jewelry and smiled a lot. She made everyone around her laugh a lot and feel important.

She loved and adored her niece, Samantha, stepdaughter Britini, her four-legged babies, gardening bargain shopping candles, perfume, jewelry and scarfs tied to her purses, pretty polished finger and toe nails. Gina enjoyed and was proud to have worked for State Farm Insurance on the National Catastrophe Team.

Moss, William Anthony Sr. “Bill”

William Anthony Moss, Sr. (aka: Bill, Dad & Papa), age 70 traded his earthly citizenship for a heavenly citizenship on Sunday, April 22, 2018, after years of struggle and pain.  The sting of life lost its grip on him as death brought release from the flesh.  No more pain, reunification with previously passed loved ones and most importantly, acceptance into the arms of His Savior.  For that, we as his family and friends are grateful.

Bill was born in Houston, Texas to Curtis Hubert Moss and Louise Adelle (Simmons) Thompson, both whom preceded him in death, along with stepmother, Rene Marie (Dagg) Moss and stepfather, Lester Thompson and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.  Bill was a graduate of South Houston High School and after a couple years of college enlisted into the Navy, where he was a Dental Technician for twenty-two years.  After which, he resumed his education and earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Health Care Management.  This was indeed a perfect degree for him as managing his own health and care was a full-time job!  Bill spent much of his later years serving others, primarily Hospice and the Gideons International.  Bill attended Bible study multiple times a week and consistently reached out to anyone in need.  Dad’s favorite things to do included being a grandfather, cracking jokes and dressing up to play “Santa” on Christmas.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Dawson and husband Micah, granddaughters Hayley, Lorelei and Abigail Laughlin, grandsons Sean and Justin Dawson, son William Moss and wife Danielle, grandsons Evan and Finn and granddaughter Amelia Moss, sisters June Sawyer and Dee Webber, brother Jonathan Moss, and continued until death to have a very sweet, unique, special relationship with previous wife, Betty (Schmidt) Moss and step-son, Thomas Erbentraut.

Dad passionately ran the race with great endurance and strength (particularly in the end) and won.  His prize in Heaven greater than any can imagine.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, April 25, at Niday Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00am Thursday, April 26, in the Chapel at Sagemont Church. Interment will follow at 11:00am Friday, April 27, at Macedonia Cemetery in Hockley, Texas.
